Ka’imi Fairbairn is a placekicker for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Texans in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Fairbairn played college football at UCLA and set several school records as a kicker. In his senior season, he connected on 20 of 23 field goal attempts and all 47 extra point tries. His performance earned him first-team All-Pac-12 honors.
As a rookie with the Texans in 2016, Fairbairn appeared in just one game but made both of his field goal attempts. The following year, he became the team’s full-time starting kicker and had a solid season, connecting on 83% of his field goals and earning Pro Football Focus’ top grade among AFC kickers.
In 2019, Fairbairn signed a four-year contract extension with the Texans worth up to $17.6 million, making him one of the highest-paid kickers in the league. That year, he also broke the franchise record for most points scored in a single season with 150.
Ka’imi Fairbairn wears jersey number 15 for the Texans and has been an important contributor to their special teams unit since joining the team. His accuracy and consistency have helped make him one of the more reliable kickers in the NFL.
