At the NFL Combine, Peoples-Jones showcased his athleticism with impressive results in several events, including a vertical jump of 44.5 inches, which tied for the second-highest mark among all participants that year. While primarily used as a depth option at wide receiver during his rookie season, Peoples-Jones showed flashes of potential when given opportunities to contribute on offense. He finished the season with nine receptions for 184 yards and two touchdowns, including a highlight-reel grab against the Tennessee Titans.
